Stillwater Spa at the Hyatt Toronto
My usual manicure/pedicure spot is my local go-to assembly line where manicure and pedicures combo’s could be had for $35. My nails/hands were in desperate need so I decided to use my christmas gift certificate (though I wanted to save it for a big ticket service) I cringed at paying $50 for a manicure but went with it. I decided to go all in so I changed into my robe and proceeded to lounge. There was a nice selection of infused water, biscotti and fruit. The room is very cozy and promotes a relaxing environment though magazines were no where to be found, which was a little surprising. Promptly at 10 am I was greeted by Dana. I was brought into the service room, where 2 other manicures were in progress. The tranquil sounds of the waterfall could be heard in the background. There was a very nice selection of colours to chose from especially from the Smith and Cult line. I chose “Doe my dear” a nude colour. Dana got right to work. She paid great attention to shaping my nails and cleaning them up. I was then given a awesome hand massage. Afterward my hands were dipped in paraffin. While the paraffin soaked, I received a back massage! The best part! It was so relaxing I almost booked a massage afterward! Parrafin removed, my hands looked great and could have easily forgone the polish! But I didn’t. The Polish went on smoothly and I loved the results. I relaxed in one of the private pods to ensure my nails dried thoroughly. I kept glancing at my beautifully hydrated and polished nails. I appreciate my neighborhood salons but you get what you pay for and this was definitely $50 well spent!
